Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Mrs. Shalimar Ali-Hack, SC on Monday 4th December, 2023 received a courtesy call from newly accredited US Ambassador Ms. Nicole Theriot.
Madam DPP thanked Ambassador Theriot for the US Government’s support given to the DPP’s Chambers over the past years and reiterated her appreciation for continued collaboration with the Embassy.
Over the years, State Attorneys and the Early Case Assessment Project (ECAP) Police Prosecutors of the DPP’s Chambers have benefitted from the US Government’s sponsored training in areas of Trafficking in Persons, Civil Recovery and Forfeiture of Financial Assets, Cybercrime and Cyber Financial Crimes, Digital Forensic, Financial Investigations for Public Corruption, Maritime Regulations, Control of Illegal Mining and Mercury Illicit Trafficking and Violent Crimes Investigations.
The DPP’s Chambers warmly welcome Madam Ambassador Theiot and extend best wishes for a successful term of office.
Outgoing US Ambassador Sarah-Ann Lynch bid farewell to Madam DPP, Mrs. Shalimar Ali-Hack, SC, who thanked her for all the support during her four-year stewardship in Guyana during which the State Lawyers benefitted from several International Law Enforcement Training sponsored by the US Government.
